I. VIETNAM'S TOTAL RETAIL SALES FOR THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2025

Total retail sales and consumption in the first two months of 2025 reached nearly 1.14 quadrillion VND, an increase of 9.4%. Specifically, the segments are as follows:

  • Retail sales of goods reached 874 trillion VND, an increase of 8.7%.
  • Accommodation and catering services revenue reached 131.1 trillion VND, an increase of 12.5%.
  • Travel and tourism revenue reached 14.1 trillion VND, an increase of 16.4%.
  • Revenue from other services reached 113.9 trillion VND, an increase of 10.2%.

II. VIETNAM'S IMPORT AND EXPORT IN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2025

Total import and export turnover reached 127.07 billion USD. In the first two months of the year, Vietnam recorded a trade surplus of 1.47 billion USD. Specifically:

  • Exports reached 64.27 billion USD, an increase of 8.4%.
  • Imports reached 62.8 billion USD, an increase of 15.9%.

III. VIETNAM'S CPI FOR THE FIRST TWO MONTHS OF 2025

  • CPI in February 2025 compared to the previous month: 100.34%.
  • CPI in February 2025 compared to February 2024: 102.91%.
  • Average CPI for the first two months of 2025 compared to the same period last year: 103.27%.
  • Average gold price index for the first two months compared to the same period last year.
  • Average US dollar price index for the first two months compared to the same period last year.
